Anti-perspirants without aluminium

I know that the aluminium content in anti-perspirants has been linked to cancer, so does anyone know of an anti-perspirant that does not contain aluminium? I know many deodorants are fine, but I'm looking for something that can prevent you from sweating, not just act as perfume. And if there are no anti-perspirants without aluminium, does anyone know of any natural methods to reduce or prevent sweating?

Bionsen is a store bought anti-perspirant which does not contain aluminium - Boots sell it.

Anti-perspirants do not contain aluminum, they contain aluminium oxide. This is the active ingredient which effectively shuts down the sweat glands and so it is not possible to buy an alternative (some contain zirconium oxide instead but the idea is the same). However, sweating is a natural process used to cool the body down so why would you want to stop that? If you don't sweat under your arms you will sweat somwhere else. A final thought, if you are worried about aluminium or aluminium oxide I presume that you do not use any of the following:- aluminium pans, aluminium (cooking) foil, aluminium drinks cans and aluminium aersol cans. To add to Gefs list, have a saphire ring use a range of metal polishs ..... Saphire is aluminium oxide.

/aluminium.shtml as you seem to be interested in avoiding carcinogens have you cut out aspartame and other dodgy artificial sweeteners yet? in my house if it says sugar free on the label we avoid it like the plague!
