ford focus engine cutting out

hi! has anyone had a problem with their ford focus engine just cutting out!?! quite dangerous! I have a 2005 ford focus 1.6 litre

My 1.6 Zetec Focus (2006) keeps on giving me heart failure - at 2000 rpm - it kee[s on missing badly - a BIG flatspot
The car is booked into the dealers on Tuesday next week for diagnostic checks

I had a similair problem with my 2001 1.8 Zetec, where it would cut out, usually as i was approaching a junction and de clutched. The speedo is also iratic, the garage i took it into did a diagnostics check which came back clear, but they removed the throttle valve and cleaned it up (it gets a bulid up of carbon) before replacing it. This has sorted the problem of cutting out, maybe you have the same problem. The speedo issue appears an additional problem, which the garage is currently working on resolving.

My car has only done 1500 miles so can't be build up in that mileage can it ?
