I have had two golfs in my past and found most others were very polite and trustworthy.
However, the young idiot in his black Golf, reg. DG 03 **T who tailgated my wife and I for almost 5 miles, flashing his headlights because she was only doing 45 to 50mph. on serious bad bends, warning signs and speed restrictions, then passing us on a bad bend with double white lines, can join your rude V.W. driver in the idiots club.
Unbeknown to our idiot, my wife was driving that late night because I am disabled and wasn't well at the time.
Police are now on his case.
Perhaps his other car was a BMW.
This driver would be an ignorant menace whatever car he was driving. The sooner the police stop concentrating purely on speed and get more unmarked police cars out on the road the better.
I know we shouldn't generalise, but is it something to do with German cars?

For myself, as well as agreing with Catso, I've started getting hassle from Audi car drivers but perhaps it's me.

One was giving me so much hassle, what with his flashing lights and tailgating, I couldn't concentrate on my phone call, and whats more nearly spilled a hot cup of coffee in my lap.
No we shouldn't generalise, but if we are, then I could go on forever about raggas in their Fords and Vauxhalls with sound systems that vibrate my internal organs.

They also tend to have number plates with snazzy fonts. Can they not see that most other cars in the country share the same font, and that perhaps their plates are illegal? Still, maybe they are stopped all the time and never do change the plates.

And yes, also generalising, I do dislike BMW drivers, and I also dislike the fact that they are slowly defecting to Audi, which is a shame, because the four rings will soon be tarnished with the same brush. Not good.

Finally, I drive a Golf. I am not rude unless I see you on the phone whilst driving, then I get a little angry. Especially when you are turning into a road that I am pulling out of and you look like you are going to introduce your car to mine through total lack of concentration. Holding the phone whilst using the speakerphone... how is that different!!

Rant over.
I own a Golf Mk 4 and I'm not rude. I think the rudest drivers on the road firstly are BMW drivers, for the simple reason they think they own the road most of the time! A close second would have to be young kids in 'pimped' up Nova's and 106 etc
