My V11 reminder has come though, but details on it are incorrect as I've just got a private plate. It still shows my old reg number, and the reference no. on the form also refers to the old plate. You need the reference number on the V11 or Log Book to renew on-line, but as logbook hasn't come back from the DVLA and my V11 is wrong, I'm a bit stuck. How I'd go about taxing my car if the log book doesn't arrive ?

You don't need to use the V11 form to tax your car, there is another form (don't know the number) that you can get from the post office and fill in the corect details.
Your V11 reminder is printed around 6 weeks in advance due to the numbers sent out each month! You may still get a correct one as the system checks records around 10 days from the end of the month for last minute address changes etc, but if it has not arrived pop along to your local P.O / DVLA local office with all your documents V5C or V5/2, MOT, insurance etc and you will still be able to tax your vehicle. The V11 is only a courtesy service.
