ford fiesta 1300 x reg

yesterday driving home i found that i coud not get third gear surely the gearbox isnt on the way out its done 61000 miles any thoughts anyone thanks

I had an E reg Ford Fiesta which 'went round the clock' without a new gearbox, but obviouisly yours could be different.

More likely to be a problem with the selectors in the box, you would not think the engine was on it's "way out" if a spark plug started mis-firing.

Get a garage to check it.
