The car has a flat spot at around 5000rpm.
Also, when I put my foot flat down the car accelerates well but if I lift off slightly it accelerates harder.
Any ideas?
The car is totally standard except for stainless back box.
I have a feeling it could be air flow meter or maybe needs a service.
There are no warning lights coming on either.

Most likely the MAF - mass air flow sensor. You can get them for around a ton.
