parking half in a bus stop
I have recently been booked for parking with the front two wheels of my car on a bus stop. I did this as there was no where else to park at that time. I was going to move my car as soon as a space became available.. unfortunately it was five minutes to late!
I have been previously told by two other traffic wardens that if you have two wheels out and two wheels in the bus stop you will be okay? now I'm confused what is right and what is wrong..... please help.
Thanks
Keith

A sharp swing on the steering wheel and the rear overhang of the bus would leave a lovely mark on your wing to make you think twice about parking there ever again!
Why do you think so many PSV's have scuff marks on their extremities?

oofy - I hope you never have the misfortune to become sufficiently physically handicapped to be unable to get onto a bus because of the inconsideration of drivers who can't be bothered to walk a few extra yards. I have lost count of the number of times that a bus has been unable to get close enough to the kerb for me to get on because of the inconsideration of cars. It is infuriating and there are never traffic wardens or police about when this happens. In fact, I have very rarely seen a car with a parking ticket for being in a bus stop.
i was 2 wheels into the bus stop which was about 1 ft. and i was recently told that was fine and if you must know i was taking my disabled girlfriend to the doctors. The actual bus stop sign (where the driver should pull up to) is in the middle of the bus stop which is approx the size of two double decker buses. Obviously I should have explained this to all you small minded people out there. I just wanted a simple answer to clarify my question not a bunch of remarks from a group of idiots!!!!!
