Are these speed cameras or just Number plate recognition cameras?
ie. If you go through one at 50 instead of 40, will you get done? Or do they just time the number plate through the series?

You won't get fined at any one of them, they calculate your average speed through the series and if your average speed is higher than the speed limit then you get fined. So if you went through one at 50 in a 40 zone then theoretically you would need to slow down to 30 before the next one to average your speed back to 40.
Usually, the latter. Known distances, cars 'clocked' through them = average speed.

You do, occasionally get a mixture though, so be careful!

It's a bit of a moot point anyway, since it's rarely possible to speed through them. Thought they were just timers, but wasn't sure.
I feel I should smugly gloat that they are forward facing so motorbikes are exempt yeha!
Exchange "exempt" for "undetectable" - there's a difference !!

But then my experience is that motorcyclists believe they are exempt from most rules of the road (Stands back and awaits a flood of angry bikers !!!!!)
no anger necessary we are well used to the envy of the SMSB prisoners.

You are correct about undetectable though, ain't it great!

For the interest of information I do also drive a car when it's necessary, a BMW which I beleive are also exempt from the normal rules of the road!

I'm having so much fun here, feels like Friday!
We have two BMW's and I'm with you on that one !
