I'm trading in my car this week. The garage agreed the deal without a thorough check of the car, so what would happen if it had no radio? I just fitted a new CD player and don't have the old one to put back. Could they reject the deal?

Possibly, but it's very unlikely. If your car is fairly new then they may reduce their offer by the amount a new manufacturers stereo would cost. It may be cheaper to pop into your local Motorworld or Halfords and buy the cheapest stereo they have and just pop that in. I think in Argos they start from around 30. If your part ex is only 200 then don't bother, if it's 10,000 then make an effort!

It's mainly down to the car and it's age. Good luck!

A deal is a deal, if they have checked the car and prices have been agreed thats it. If the car you have agreed to buy and you have checked it and then found something missing they would not want to know.
