I have a Rover 25 1.6 its not been a bad car but beware of the "head gasket" problem as i have just had mine done at the cost of 350.00. Overall id get one like i said besides that mine has been a good car to me not had any other problems
i would never touch a rover but they sell so there must be something good about them?

if they are still having problems with a head gasket now after all these years, stay far away??
If you consider ridicule to be pain, then yes!
For what its worth, I once owned a 91 Rover Metro GTA which I bought in 96 and ran ok for about 4 years but quite literally fell apart and had to scrap in 00! Build quality was very poor, hinges on the hatch went, suspension went, metal was rusting around the wheel arches etc. As a comparison I now own a 91 Mk2 VW Golf GTi which after 15 years still has NO rust and is built like a tank!
