parking ticket

Whilst at the arrivals pick up point at gatwick, I quickly nipped in to see my passenger. When I came out a traffic warden told me to move, so I told my van driver 3 cars down that i had to, when I returned the warden was writing some details down, but never gave me a ticket. Will I still receive a ticket with the details he took of my vehicle?

If you are booked for a parking offence the traffic warden does not have to give you a ticket, wait and see.
