Superglue removal from wood
3 Answers
I need help removing spilt superglue from my workstation. It leaked from the pot and dried up and I have only been able to remove it with a stanley blade. But it is a wooden desk with a kind of matt effect laminate surface and the blade scratches the pattern too easily.
Superglue remover has had a similar effect. Is there any sure-fire way of removing it safely?
Thank you in advance.

Too much water caused them to degrade - that's why the directions usually say not to use them for repairing anything that will contain liquids.
So keep a wet cloth over the spill for a few days, and see if you can remove it then.

Thank you both for your suggestions.
Unfortunately the glue has been there for a couple of weeks, and the 'moisture' didn't work. But thank you.
We didn't have ny 'glue remover' but we did have varnish remover that stated it did glue too. It got most of it off, (and left only small burn marks) and loosened the rest. Then the blade took off the last of it. It also took off some dried on marker pen, bonus.
Thanks.
