wrote in the other day saying i had bashed the work van twice. boss seems to think its ok or me to pay to get the small bash removed . what do you think?

Your boss or company should have commercial insurance to cover knocks like that - they are to be expected. Perhaps your boss is trying to avoid an increased premium for the claim. Maybe he hopes that if you pay for the second knock then you'll be more careful and don't have a third. I would say don't pay as that is what their insurance is for.

You don't give your age. But I believe drivers under 25 have a greatly increased premium. Because of this some employers are reluctant to take on younger drivers.
