2001 Corsa Wipers

Hi, just a quick one. I need new wipers for my 2001 Corsa and have come across conflicting information.

Halfords website says the passenger wiper is 20" and the drivers is 18" but on another site it said the 18" is on the passenger and the 20" on the drivers.

The wipers that are on now are the same as Halfords suggest. If this IS correct, how come the passenger one is bigger?

Not too sure why they are different sizes but this is normally the case on all cars. They are not driver/passeger side dependant so you might aswel get an 18" and 20" and compare them to the ones currently on the car. Have you measured the ones already on the car? Also try looking in the cars hanbook to see if it says in there the sizes, hope this helps.

Look in the manual and it hasn't got any reference to size. As I said the ones on now are different sizes. Was just wondering why as it seems a bit odd!

Typical Vauxhall changed something that didn't need changed - in 2001 -2002 they changed the wiper pattern
( altering the length of the wiper arms at the same time ) necessitating the use of different length wiper blades - ring Vauxhall and ask them the correct length.
The passenger side is the longer one now.

do u mean the blades? i got some from Halfords just a couple of weeks ago, a pack of two that were the same size and they fitted them for me, so they must have been ok

Sorry, should have been clearer - the passenger wiper arm is now longer -
Interesting thing - I checked mine a 2002 Corsa passenger is 19" drivers is 20" - got a pack of two from Vauxhall yesterday and one is 18" and the other is 20" - I can't put the 20" on the passenger side as it is over the side of the windscreen - I also just rang Vauxhall and they said the two wiper are supposed to be 19". So I'm going up tomorrow to shout at them.
What ever you put on just make sure they don't clash when you switch them on.
