...ok I am a dotty old cow so please be gentle... I have recently bought my first car ( 13 year old vauxhall corsa for 400 ) ...now the bloke who I bought it with did not give me a log book or a new ownership slip/form/thing ( I know ,I know he saw me coming , what can I say?)... now I have figured out that I needed to send off to the dvla for a new ownership certificate ( I am waiting for the post they sent it on the 31/10/06)... the tax ran out on the 31/10 but I'm not driving it at the mo... now what I want to know is what do I need to take to the post office with me? , 1. M.O.T certificate 2. Insurance documents 3. the new ownership document (that I'm awaiting) ...what else?.... ...I know it's a stupid question , but I honestly have no one to ask....

You need to go along to your nearest DVLA local office and complete a form V62 (19 fee applicable) if nobody is registered as the keeper on DVLA records then you may licence the vehicle, MOT / insurance needed & fee.
