turning up the heat in a mondeo diesel.
My '96 mondeo diesels' heating system has packed up. The temperature gauge isn't reading any higher than usual, there's plenty of water in the coolant bottle, the fan works perfectly but there's no warm air being produced,
anyone got any ideas?

They are quite cheap and easy to replace usually held on with 2 or 3 bolts and located at the top of the engine. Follow the cooling pipes to the block and locate the union. You need to replace the gasket under the housing to stop leaks, If you don't feel confident in changing it try HALFORDS or a local garage it should not be too expensive but the antifreeze should be replaced or tested as the winter is approaching.
