Hi,
Are any makes of cars manufactured in any of the Eastern European counties, particularly Poland, Czech Republic, Hungry or Slovakia?

Skodas and lada i think
yeah, skoda is czech. Can you still get Ladas?
I think you can Lada riva not sure tho
a lot of cars are made in these countries,as the labour is very cheap,but not many of thir own makes
in Poland there was a car called the Polonez (A right old pile of crap) , dont know if they make them anymore.
ok so they stopped in 2002 (not suprised)

When we went to Russia almost every car was a Lada (we saw Rivas Nivas and Samaras) and there were quite a lot of Volgas too
yugo, zastava , wartburg, fso, dacia, moskovich,zastava , all cars mentioned have been officailly available in uk at some time but now it is only skoda, ladas were last imported in uk circa 1996 (niva 4/4)
. Rather than manufacture the 207 here as well, it decided to save a few bob by shipping the replacement model in from a new plant in Slovakia. Mr Simpson blames liberal UK employment laws that allow companies to shut down operations here more easily than those in mainland Europe
