I know of two people looking for car insurance. One has been driving for almost 2 years and picked up a speeding fine lsat october.

The other has only just passed and crashed their first car a few weeks back. They've just bought a modified corsa with induction kit, alloys, tinted windows and big bore exhaust.

Who do you believe is the bigger risk? The driver who crashed got his insurance for 1200, while the driver who was caught speeding (SP30 i think) was quoted nearly 1400.

What was the other car?

If one was a Corsa and the other a Ferrari it's kind of relevent as is their post code
Yep it could be a number of factors.. age / sex / location. Type of car! more info would be good. PS I am an insurance Broker.

The other car is a Corsa but the newer one no mods as far as I know. It was oct 2005 the speeding offence.

The driver who crashed hit another vehicle.

Both are male, the one who crashed is 17, the other is 19. 17 y.o lives in the south, the 19 y.o in the north. 19 y.o has Pass Plus certificate also.

Sounds most likely to have been the area they live in then. in my experience most insurance companies aren't too bothered about a single SP30.

But if you live in the wrong post-code boy! can you get loaded!
