03 Astra 1.4 dies on cornering when low on fuel?

When my Astra is on around a 1/4 or less of a tank of petrol and you take a left turning it dies but doesn't cut out you just lose the power to accelerate which is sometimes dangerous and when you straighten up kicks in again. It doesn't happen when turning right, it seems like your just waiting for the fuel to level off or slosh over to the left hand side to get the fuel back down the intake pipe.

Yes it is fuel injected, i thought it would be along those lines but wasn't sure what was situated in the tank. Thanks for the advice caz1975.
