Bad starter vauxhall combo 1.7 diesel

Hi guys my van is really not liking the winter so far ...it takes a good 4-5 good turns before it kicks in , I have replaced glow plugs but made no difference any ideas guys????thanks in advance ian

Did you check the supply to the glow plugs ?

a lot of people say that these are a dealer part, or supply the wrong part and these dont work correctly, I would sugest a make calles adl, aka blue print. this company sells their product via lots of motor factors in the uk, just ask on the phone.
or
the glow plugs are controlled by the glow plug relay, if this is faulty then the glow plugs may not be getting the powert they need to heat. they cost aprox �40 so it may be best to get one from a scrapper
