jaguar xj6 flat battery

The battery on my father's xj6 is flat and we can't get in the boot to access it. Where can i connect a slave battery under the bonnet to at least get the central locking to work and so open the boot.

why not put power to the starter motor or the alternator, they are both joined to the battery.

is there not a post under the bonnet with a plastic cap on top?
this should be the posotive.

google search jaguar specialists in your area, phone them, ask for the workshop, and just ask a mechanic !
