renault scenic door wont open!

ok so i put the child lock on the back door of my 02 regrenault scenic and now the bloody thing wont open from inside or outside?!
whats wrong with it?!
very annoying as im a childminder and for obvious reasons cant take children out in a car where the doors not opening.
