Logical thought decrees that when you engage reverse you cause your reverse lights to operate.
My guess is that you have a short between the switch and the reversing light.
( An old but true tip ), What was the last job done on your vehicle? Nine times out of ten it is what caused the problem.

thanks chadad, two things have been done recently, as the battery was changed along with a break light bulbs, prehaps something is not quite right qith them.

thank you for you help.
Hi Sparky, If the brake light bulb was a rear one, then I would check the rear light cluster first.
Maybe a wire was caught as the cluster was re-fitted.
BTW. Was the replaced bulb working OK. before your fuse problem started?

Hi Chadad

The bulb had gone, and was changed, the holders are push fit holders, before that everything was working ok so it may be what you say going to have a check and see hopefully it is something as simple as that fingers crossed.

Really appreciate your help thank you
