the RAC towed my corsa to a local garage sfter they rescued me, I am disabled, and need my car just to get about locally, the garage has ruled out catalytic converter problems fuel pump problems, and now they want to explore the cars computer system, and maybe my bank account too, with a big bill, for what the RAC man told me should come to 70 inc vat, but this garage tells me the bill now stands at 216 inc vat, please my Yahoo engineers help me sort out this issue, so I can go outside again... thankyou all so much.

The garage should not charge you anything because they have not done anything to repair your car due to their incompetence.

A catalytic converter would not stop your car running, the first thing that any good garage would have done is run a diagnostic check by computer on the engine.

I know it is to late now but you should have insisted, like I did that they took you to a decent garage, perhaps you could get in touch with the RAC as they should have done their job properly.
a bill should stand at 0 until its fixed.

Toureman.. just so you know.. a blocked cat can stop a car running.
