I have a Vauxhall Vecta 1998/99 and since I had the heater fixed the battery keeps draining completely flat... my mechanic thinks it could be the radio/CD changer as when he was looking at the car with the ignition off the raido came on by its self even though turned off at the button!... has anyone else heard of the same problem and whether they've found a solution?.. thanks

Done that but will this happen if I put in another radio/cd?.. I don't want to go to the expense of buying a new system only to find I can't use it without jump leads!
many new types of motor have a stereo that will play for 1/2 an hour if you push the on/off button with no key in the ignition. my pug 406 and transit and merc sprinter do this. so the stereo was probly nudged while he was working 'cos the heater access is in that area. don't junk your stereo without checking.
