My central heating pump is located in the loft of my bungalow. About every twenty-four to thirty-six hours, the portent boiler stops working due to air lock in the hot water pipes. In order to restart the boiler, I have to go in to the loft to vent the air lock from the central heating pipes. This is done by removing the airlock from the venting pipe next to the circulating pump, but the pump has not stopped working. Any advice pleases how I can get over this problem
there are many various auto air bleed valves on the market.try www.denc.co.uk.
had a quick look & they are designed specically for radiators.give them a call & they may be able to help you solve your problem.
altecnic do an auto air vent this is available from most builders merchants but i would have a heating engineer check why the air is getting in first is the expansion tank in the loft if so check that the water is not pumping over (ie water coming out of open vent this is the pipe that curls over the top of the tank )if so tank needs raising too stop this problem occuring
