Mondeo Remote locking faulty

Hi everyone
I have a just bought 1998 Mondeo with remote central locking.
The central locking works fine with the key but not with the remote key fob.The doors lock then immediatly unlock so the remote is activting ok.
I have operated it inside the car and noticed that the drivers door is staying unlocked when using the remote.All doors apart from the drivers also unlock with the remote so I am assuming the fault is with the drivers door lock..any answers please..Thanks
