Rover metro 1.4 injection automatic problem

Hi, my metro stopped on me suddenly the other day. I do not seem to be getting any power to the engine. I have fitted a new distributor cap/ rotary arm , checked the spark plugs and fitted a new coil. Can any one help as it is doing my head in please.

dont go mad buying all this stuff - TOO late,
have you checked you are getting a spark at the plugs -
are the points opening?? does it emit a spark at the points when you flick them apart
have you got power to the coil?
try these items first

was it raining when it stopped?
have fun or call the AA/rac with someone elses membership card if you aint got 1

no it wasnt raining,there is loads of power in the battery.What do you mean too late?Where do i check then please,you cant use someones elses membership card,or can you?would it be registered to there car?please help.........

ive changed the coil and the fuses but the fuses keep blowing,is this a big problem,please help its doing my head in.............................
