the car is immaculate and only 60,000 genuine miles on the clock so i think it just might be worth it

no more than a cuple of hundred quid i shud say. it aint as biger deal as it sounds, just ask around.

dose any body know what engine it is. it will be more like �350 if not more.

The labour will probably cost more than the parts ~ I have known several people getting rid of newer models than yours as it wasn't cost effective.

It would depend on the engine size, but I would imagine it would be in the garage for a couple of days and you could easily be kissing goodbye to �1000+ on labour alone (I know this from sad experience)

How much is the car worth? you don't want to be spending more than 2/3 of it's value on repair..unless you are really sentimental about it!

I just had a look on a Ford Scorpio forum and a bloke on there just forked out �1400 for a head gasket repair.

Get some quotes ;o)
