Can anybody tell me what SP stands for or means on lorries. I've noticed these mostly on spanish registered lorries. E is on the number plate on spanish lorries but I've seen this SP on swedish, polish lorries too..

E is the international sign for Spain i.e. Espania.

SP is a sign on Spanish vehicles that are used in a category of public service i.e. Servisio Publica.
