should my airbags have went off when i crashed into the back of a jeep at 80 kph and then 2 cars crashed into the back of me . i was the fifth car in a 7 car pile up

that depends on a number of other issues.

you were doing 80 mph at the time of impact, but if the other 4 cars ahead of you slowed your deceleration speed sufficently, acted as a cushon, then no your air bag would not fire. Though at 80 its hard to imagine this.

the air bag should also not fire following an impact from behind your car.

no 80 kph which is about 50 mph
If you have crashed into another vehicle in front at 80kph of course it should go off. That is what it is in the car for. To prtotect you.At what speed do you expect to be able to crash at before you expect it to go off. At 80 kph speed you could well have been killed.

If you crashed into a stationary jeep then they should have gone off.

If it was doing about the same speed as you then maybe not.
