I have just had the cylinder head completely replaced on my Pajero 2.5 TD Auto 1992 model, since I have collected it from the garage it is underpowered and blowing black smoke out and not good at starting they have checked the timing etc and they advised I took it to diesel specialist where I have had the Injectors all cleaned out and it is still the same I am now getting passed between the 2 garages and am no further forward. Does anyone have any suggestions of what could be causing the problem or know of a Pajero forum/website I could contact..........Thanks

To be honest this should have been handled by a diesel specialist in the first place. Why was the head changed, did it lose water and overheat if so it may have suffered piston damage. I would'nt have a lot of confidence in a garage that gave it back in that state. If they got the timing wrong maybe its bent the valves or is it the pump timing they are checking.
