I have a 1989 ford telstar station wagon 2ltre. My radiator hose split so have had that replaced but i have drained the water out of the radiator as it was brown now i want to refill it and put the anti freeze in it but i dont know how much water to put in my radiator so i can work out how much anti freeze to put in with the water. thanks for your help
have you not got any handbook or way of knowing how much the water sytem holds,if so divide that by what it says on the anti freeze bottle,we allways put 25% anti freeze to 75% water.hope this helps.
Just pre-mix the antifreeze in a couple of old 2 litre milk containers - use a 50% mix ie. half water and half anti-freeze and add it to the radiator/expansion bottle - you wont need to know how much the colling system holds beforehand.
No it ain't - it may be too much in regard to the anti-freeze properties but not in respect of the anti-corrosion properties that the anti-freeze contains.
