cat D car
I have bought a cat D car for 5,500 when I took it to a dealer they offered me 2,600 because of its history, even asthough all the repairs are done, does anyone know how to obtain a certificate to say that it is road worthy and for it to be takn of the computer, Thanks.

195 or 230 sounds pretty cheap to me.
Especially when it equates to nearly 3 grand!

I'm afraid a cat d car will always be worth less than a similar car which hasn't ever been "written off". As far as I know, there's no way to have its record changed. Wouyd you want to buy a 2nd hand damaged-repaired car without knowing its history? It's there for buyers protection.
I used to own a VX220 Turbo which was written off Cat D. The insurance company gave me 21k for it and a guy I know bought it as a damage repairable for 9k. He spent 4k having it professionally repaired and tried selling it on. Even at 12k he couldn't shift it at a time when 2nd hand VXT's of similar age, condition and mileage were going for 15-16k.
