First MOT
Can a car that is approaching 3 years old be MOT'd prior to the due date. I am aware that post dating by 1 month is permitted for consecutive tests but I am unsure regarding the first test.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If the vehicle is taken for its first MoT, within the month prior to its due date, and the V5C registration document is presented at the same time, the certificate will be dated to expire 12 months after the due date, rather than 12 months after the actual test date.
