Rovers Return wallpaper

Does anyone have any idea when the wallpaper was last changed in the Rovers' Return? It seems to have been the same dungy brown for ever.

No can't rember when it was changed, another curious thing is where are the toilets, if memory serves , if you go through the door to the toilets you would come out into the alley, am i right or am i just being thick.

The dilemma surrounding the toilets was first noticed by Gary Bushell when he was the TV critic for The Sun if I recall correctly. At the time there was no gap between the Rovers and Ken Barlow's front room so that if someone went to the toilet then they would, as GB pointed out, be using Ken's front room. Shortly after this was highlighted, the distance between Ken's front room window and the Rovers' door suddenlt increased!!

I could be wrong, Im sure the last time the RR was re decorated was after the fire with Bet Lynch when the whole pub was re furbished and they had a grand re opening. So sometime during the 80's?
