Can I still scrap my car???

I scrapped my car but the reg plates were not on the car as they got destroyed in a crash!! When it came to getting the logbook signed as scrap, the yard wouldn't sign it as I had no proof the car I scraped was mine, what can I do to get it scraped?

phone up the DVLA and ask for new plates. You may have to purchase new plates before you can scrap the car or get the insurance from the accident to cover it. You may have to provide the DVLA with you VIN number and proof of the accident... like a police or insurance report or something. Im not to sure just phone and ask. Hope that helped
