applying for a cancelation test appointment

Hi all
My son just failed his test and wants to put striaght in for it again. The earliest date is July. he has booked this. However he is quite happy to take at short notice a cancelation date.
Question. How does he do this?
Any help gratefully received.

first thing,is he ready to take another test so quickly,what did he fail on,does he need a few more lessons to brush up some things,theres no point in rushing it.

What does his professional driving instructor say?

If he failed he probably is not ready, how many driver faults and serious faults did he get? more than 6 faults he definatly was not ready

Only got three minors and sadly 1 D hence the failure. I won't go into the details but it was just one of those things!

keep on ringing the D.S.A booking line.....its a case of first come, first served. if one gets cancelled it is available to the next person who rings. getting through can be a nightmare! if only 3 minors, sounds like ok to do again. On test an examiner has to mark on whan ACTUALLY happened.......so some old dear pulling out at a roundabout in front of you, causing you to brake or take other action, would be marked with an "S" serious or "D" danger. Being aware of this, and being cautious on test can also get you the same! Often its a no-win situation and you just have to pay another 39 quid and do again. The D.S.A do gain from this, so fail = dosh!! Good Luck.
