my partner and i want to buy a second hand car. we only have �4000, but need something reliable that doesn't cost the earth to maintain(second child on way) also needs to have 5 doors. any recomendations.

I drive a Proton and, like everyone else I meet who drives one, I love it for 'value for money'. (I don't claim that Protons are 'fashionable' or 'exciting'. They're certainly not -but they don't cost a lot to buy, insure, run or repair. They're also incredibly reliable).

skoda - - octavia or fabia are good value. ( not the felicia. )

a 4 door focus is ideal cheap to run an doesnt have any comman faults hope this helps
