Help I forgot how to enter the code on my car stereo!
3 Answers
I have the code from Lex (it's a Lex Company car) but I don't know how to actually enter the code on the stereo! The car is a company car and recently had some bodywork done to it, the repair guys disconnected the battery or something and as a result, everytime I switch on the stereo it says 'SAFE', now I did find by holding down two of the buttons and switching it on at the same time it came up with '0000' and 10 (the 10 goes down numerically with each attempt at entering a code) at the time, when I discovered this, I hadn't called lex, I tried 'guessing' the code a couple of times, but realised I was losing attempts, so left it. I called Lex a few weeks later and got the real code, but now when I try turning on the stero it says '7 SAFE' and no amount of pressing buttons will make the zeros come back.....the stereo is a Blaupunkt Car 300. This is legitimate, I didn't just pilfer this from the local NCP Car Park....I would pick a better stereo!

The site mentioned here deals with the make/model you mention, and have a service whereby you can send your stereo to them and they will recover the code for you - therefore i am sure if you ask nicely they will explain how to re-set the code. Send them an email at [email protected]
Sounds like you've exceeded your limit of allowed tries at entering the code and have now locked the stereo. It should be the responisibility of the repairers to repairers to sort out the code as they screwed it up.
When I had exactly the same problem I took it to the dealer and they sorted it free of charge.
