Insuring a foreign car abroad
Im going abroad for a while and a friend over there has offered me the use of their car. Is it cheaper to be a named driver on their insurance or is it possible to be covered on my own insurance? Obviously, I want to be fully comp. Thanks

In France it's the car not the driver that's insured and anyone else with a full licence can drive it. But beware! In France if you don't tell them by the 11th month that you intend to cancel they will automatically charge you for another full year without notice then pass the debt to a national debt collecting agency if unpaid! This happened to me even though they knew I was moving back to UK!
