how is the speedometer driven on this model as mine has gone haywire i think itselectronic driven? has anyone had the same problem and how can you fix it?

They're notorious, i'm afraid... i had a 2.0 XSi with the same problem and had it back to the local dealer more times than i care to remember. I was told at the time that it's a known fault.
Hope you get it sorted okay.
