Hi, my son has saved some money up & also taken out a loan to buy his first car, he obviously wants to go to a trusted dealer. He's worried he may buy something dodgy. He has heard he can pay someone to come out from the AA to look over it for him, but it will cost him around 165.00 , he's unsure about what he should do, has anyone paid for this service before? Can anyone reccomend a reputable dealer in Manchester? Have you any advice generally as to what to look out for?

Ive had 3 cars off them recently.....they are very good...
have a look at HPL in prestwich,
and BOC Bolton and the new place across from texaco garage at heap bridge (DONT GO TO CARCRAFT)
You need to look around the car at all the gaps see if they are all in line, also look around the car panels make sure they are all the same color ( bumpers may be a little out as plastic takes color differently) if not a digital mileage clock make sure they all line up. Take it for a test drive with the radio off!! take it onto motor way over 60 make sure stearing doesnt shake. He should be ok with that.

Prince / DONNA - Thanks both for that information, I will pass that on to him, thank's a lot!!
get a new car, or like ex demo car, 3 years warrenty can't go wrong, or even pay for extended warrenty, but AA can come out, not for 165 much cheaper
also, end of the day cars r cars, if u get a dodgy car its part of the fun i think, had lots of experiances but keep smiling!
