why has my peugeot 206 lost its power

my peugoet 206 turbo diesel has suddenly lost all its power it starts ok and runs ok just no power when i put my foot down can anybody throw any ideas .could it be the turbo that has packed up ? how can i get it checked thanks steve

It could be the Turbo.

It could be a lot of other reasons.

Gert it checked at a garage.

Air flow meter isn't working requires new 1

we used to have major problems on the 2.0 ltr peuegeot hdi engines and most of the time it was either the turbo impeller failing or as big bri says the air-flow meter. the faulty turbos were mostly the AIR RESEARCH ones.
