traffic light camera help
Hi
Does anyone know if the small cameras that sit on the lights catch you if you run a red light, i went through lights today just as they changed from orange to red and may have been speeding a little too, now im worried i may get caught twice for speeding and red light, even though i dont think was doing either, it just plays on your mind when you think you may have?
anyone know, they are small grey cameras, there was 3, 2 were pointing in opp direction and the other was pointing at the crossing
thanks
steve

Traffic light cameras are set about 30 feet prior to the white stop line and look like a slightly smaller version of a standard speed camera. Sounds like they were not cameras in your case, but the detectors.
If the camera was a largish box (see link posted above) then yes you can get done.
If it is a smaller camera sitting directly on top of the traffic light cluster then it is, as dean said, merely there to detect traffic behind the traffic light.
Agreed... slow down next time and don't take the risk of hitting someone or having an accident.
