Hi, I drive and MGF and find that driving even over the smallest humps causes a massive scraping sound underneath. The garage I park in has a metal bump on the way out which can't be more than about 20cm high, and yet I can hear it scraping all along the underside of my car. Am I doing loads of damage to my car every time I drive over it? I can't think what I can do to stop it happening - does anyone have any advice please?

I very much doubt there's anything wrong wtih your car. Humps are not built to consider cars, quite the reverse. I tore off a metal band round my petrol tank once and the garage said they'd never seen it happen before. There's little you can do besides get a taller car, these things are not designed for our benefit.
The MGF does have Hydrolastic suspension. This can loose oil and lower the height of the car. Get a garage to check it out.
