removing scratches from a CD

I have a Ps2 Cd and it is fairly new but it is scratched and it wont work i would like suggestions on how to remove scratches from that Cd i have tried a couple of ways like Toothpaste ect but i need another way of removing it has anyone got any ideas ......THANKS x

I use Brasso,work from the inside of the disc to the outer edge.
