Leather suite near radiator
9 Answers
My sister has just received deliver of a new leather suite - a 3 seater and and 2 seaters. Is a bit different in size to what she previously had and the best position for the 2 seater seems to be partially in front of a radiator. The issue isnt that it will be blocking heat but that it will damage the sofa. Is there anything she can do to help this rather than move sofa or radiator?
thanks
thanks

Does the radiator have a heat control valve on it? That way you could turn it off all together then it wouldn't damage the sofa.
Alternatively you could get one fitted for a lot cheaper price than moving the radiator.

thanks for your response. It does have a control valve but really would not want to switch off totally so as you say would cause damage to the leather. I think she was wondering if there was something she could do to protect the sofa at the bit that was covering the radiator - hopefully someone would have some idea.
We are just in the process of buy leather furniture but we have thermostatic valves so can adjust the rad rather than the whole room , so think one of those be the answer , or move the sofa as far away as poss. Mc N, reply was a positive one so the options are yours , Good Luck and happy lounging !!
