Radiator - showing signs of rust on the exterior
We are seeing signs of rust appearing on the exterior side of our radiators. The quality of the paint finish is not the best and it looks like a standard wall emulsion has been used.
Please can anybody advise the best thing to do?
A. To remove the existing paint.
B. Which paint to use for best protection protect.
Any other comments would be appricated

This would need to be done by a professional service. At the same time, they could clean the inside and have them working like new. i dont know how much this sort of treatment costs, with the emptying removal and collection afterwards. do you have to take a few rads at once to keep costs down ? what about heating in the meantime
however i changed my rads as i decorate each room and the new ones look great, more modern ,efficient and usually occupy less wall space, although this may involve some pipe re-positioning
the rust signs are obvioudly not a good thing but is it a sign of decorating neglect or something more serious and they need replacing
