I wish they would ban designer buggies on buses. They are much too big, people could carry their child and fold up the buggy like they used to.
You could get more people on.

yes but what about the other passengers, mothers with pushchairs have littlle regard for other travellers, forcing their way down aisles blocking entrances and exits while they expect others to squeeze past.
The design of modern buses with low steps and wide aisles are primarily intended to hold those in wheelchairs, the elderly and infirm.
In the days of the old buses with open platforms at thr rear, it was impossible to take any sort of pushchair on a bus without folding it.
'Designer buggy' is anyway a misnomer since everything has to be designed. They are infact a fastion statement in the same way as 4x4 cars are. Such buggies are too big and cumbersome for their purpose. It would help everyone if mothers were more considerate and used smaller folding pushchairs when using public transport. ' Designer buggies' are after all intended for the rich and famous to walk a few yards in before loading them inti their 4x4's to polute their way to their destination.
actually the buses i use have a sign stating the designated area is for wheelchair users and baby buggys
would you be complaining if a disabled person took up a couple of extra intrest
in this day and age i thought people were more considerate!
plus on the designer buggy issue you can only buy what they make, most people go 4 the smaller pushchair but when ur baby is a new born there isnt that much choice on the market for a smaller pram with safety and comfort!
